Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Ma'an, head towards the main street (King Abdullah II Street). Walk north for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with Al-Mahmoud Street. Turn right onto Al-Mahmoud Street and continue walking for 500 meters until you see signs for Wadi Musa. Follow the signs to Wadi Musa, which is approximately 5 kilometers away from Ma'an. Once you enter Wadi Musa, continue straight until you reach the entrance of Petra. The Treasury is located within the Petra archaeological site. After entering the site, follow the path that leads through the Siq, a narrow gorge, which will lead you directly to The Treasury.

    From Ma'an, go to the local bus station. You can find it near the main market area. Look for a minibus heading to Wadi Musa (Petra). The journey should take about 30-40 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to go to Petra. Once in Wadi Musa, get off at the bus stop near the entrance to the Petra archaeological site. From the entrance, walk straight into the site and follow the path that leads through the Siq to reach The Treasury.
