Getting There

• Bus

  From your location in Mafraq, head towards the central bus station, which is located on Al-Hussein Street. Look for signs indicating the bus terminal. Once at the station, purchase a ticket for Jerash. Buses to Jerash run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. The bus ride will take around 30-45 minutes. Upon arrival in Jerash, get off at the main bus stop. The Jerash Archaeological Museum is a short walk from the bus stop. Head northwest on the main road, and follow the directional signs to the museum.

• Shared Taxi

  To travel from Mafraq to Jerash via shared taxi, make your way to the central taxi stand, which is near the bus station on Al-Hussein Street. Look for taxis heading toward Jerash. You can share the ride with other passengers, which helps reduce costs. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic. The taxi will drop you off near the entrance of the Jerash Archaeological Museum. From the drop-off point, follow the signs to the museum.

• Walking

  If you are adventurous and enjoy walking, you can reach Jerash from Mafraq on foot. Start by heading west on Al-Hussein Street, then continue onto the main road leading to Jerash. The distance is about 25 kilometers, so plan for a lengthy walk, which will take several hours. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water. Along the way, you'll enjoy the scenic landscapes of the Jordanian countryside.
