Public Bus
From Mafraq, head to the main bus station located near the Al-Hussein Mosque. Look for buses heading to Jerash. The bus ride will take about 30 to 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Jerash, get off at the main bus stop. From there, you can ask locals for directions to the Temple of Artemis; it is approximately a 15-minute walk. Head south on the main road, and you will see the entrance to the archaeological site.
Shared Taxi
For a faster option, you can take a shared taxi (also known as a 'service') from Mafraq to Jerash. Shared taxis usually depart from the same area as the buses near the Al-Hussein Mosque. The journey will take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Jerash, the driver can drop you off near the entrance of the Temple of Artemis, or you can ask the driver for directions.
Walking
If you prefer walking, it is not recommended to walk from Mafraq to Jerash due to the distance (approximately 50 kilometers). However, if you are already in Jerash, after arriving by bus or taxi, you can walk to the Temple of Artemis. From the bus station in Jerash, walk south towards the main entrance of the archaeological site. The Temple of Artemis is located inside the site, and signs will guide you to it.
