Car
To reach Wadi Rum Protected Area from Mujib Nature Reserve by car, head south on the Dead Sea Highway (Route 65). Continue on this highway for approximately 40 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for Route 15. Turn left onto Route 15 and continue for about 25 kilometers until you reach the town of Rum. From Rum, follow the signs to Wadi Rum Protected Area, which is approximately 10 kilometers east. Ensure your vehicle is equipped for desert driving, and check your fuel level, as there are limited services along the route.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Mujib Nature Reserve to the nearest major city, Aqaba. From the Mujib area, head to the main road where buses frequently pass. Once in Aqaba, you can catch a bus or taxi to Wadi Rum. The bus ride from Aqaba to Wadi Rum takes about 1 hour and costs around 7 Jordanian Dinars. Ensure to verify bus schedules ahead of time, as they may vary.
Taxi
For a more direct option, you can hire a taxi from Mujib Nature Reserve to Wadi Rum. This will provide you with door-to-door service. The journey will take approximately 1.5 hours and can cost between 30 to 50 Jordanian Dinars depending on your negotiation skills and the taxi service. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your trip.
