Getting There

• Public Bus

  From the center of Salt, head to the main bus station located near the Al-Hussein Mosque. Look for buses heading to Jerash; they are usually marked with signs. Once you board, ensure that you confirm with the driver that the bus goes to Jerash. The journey takes about 30-45 minutes. After reaching Jerash, disembark at the main bus station. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to the Jerash Archaeological Museum. Walk north on the main road, then turn right at the first intersection onto the road leading to the archaeological site. The museum will be on your left.

• Shared Taxi (Service Taxi)

  From your location in Salt, find a service taxi (shared taxi) which can be found at designated taxi stands or by hailing one on the street. Request to go to Jerash, and the driver will pick up other passengers along the way. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance of the Jerash Archaeological Museum. The museum is well-signposted, and you should see it as you approach the archaeological site.

• Walking (if close enough)

  If you are staying within walking distance of the center of Salt, you can navigate to Jerash on foot. Start by heading towards the main road that leads out of Salt towards Jerash. Follow the road signs, which will guide you along the path. It's approximately 50 kilometers, so this option is only practical if you’re very close or looking for a long hike. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water for the journey.
