Car
From any location in the Southern Jordan Valley, head towards the city of Azraq. Take the main road (Highway 40) heading north-east. Follow the signs for Azraq. Once you reach Azraq, continue to follow the road signs directing you to the Azraq Wetlands Reserve. The reserve is located approximately 10 km outside of the town of Azraq. Make sure to have a GPS or a map app for precise navigation. There is no entry fee for the reserve, but be aware that the road conditions may vary, and it's advisable to check for any travel advisories.
Public Transportation
To reach Azraq Wetlands Reserve using public transportation, first take a bus or shared taxi from any major town in the Southern Jordan Valley to Azraq city. The buses typically run several times a day; confirm the schedule beforehand. Once you arrive in Azraq, you can either take a local taxi or a rideshare to the Azraq Wetlands Reserve, which is about 10 km away from the city center. The taxi fare should be negotiated in advance; expect to pay around 10-15 JOD for this short trip. Make sure to check the return schedule for the bus to ensure you have transportation back.
