Walking
Start from Tafilah's main square (Al-Mahallah) where you can find local shops and cafes. Head east on King Abdullah Street and continue straight for about 1 kilometer. You will pass by several local shops and the Tafilah Archaeological Museum on your left. Keep walking until you reach the main road that leads to Wadi Musa (the town near Petra). Turn left onto this road and continue for about 6 kilometers. As you approach Wadi Musa, you will see signs directing you to Petra and Urn Tomb. Once in Wadi Musa, follow the signs to the Petra Visitor Center. From there, you can either walk or take a local guide to reach Urn Tomb, which is about a 30-minute hike up the hill from the Visitor Center.

From the main bus station in Tafilah, take a bus heading to Wadi Musa. This trip should take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Wadi Musa, disembark at the main bus stop. From there, walk towards the Petra Visitor Center. It’s approximately a 20-minute walk along the main road. Follow the signs to Petra, and once at the Visitor Center, you can join a local guide or hike to the Urn Tomb, which is about 30 minutes uphill from the Visitor Center.
