Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Umm Qais archaeological site. From the entrance, head south towards the main road (Al-Magharah Street). Turn left onto Al-Magharah Street and walk for about 1 kilometer until you reach a bus stop near the main road. Here, you can catch a local bus heading towards Jerash.

  • Bus

    Once you are on the bus, inform the driver that you wish to get off at the junction for the Jordan Valley. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. After reaching the junction, exit the bus.

  • Walking

    After getting off the bus at the junction, head eastward along the paved road. Continue walking for about 2 kilometers, following the signs that lead to the Jordan Valley. The path is well-marked, and you will be able to see the valley in the distance.

  • Local Transport

    If you prefer not to walk the final stretch, you can ask a local for a taxi or a shared taxi (service taxi) that frequently runs to the Jordan Valley from the junction. Make sure to agree on a price before starting your ride.
