Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Wadi Ghuweir and head southeast on the main road. Follow the signs for Wadi Rum. After approximately 30 minutes of driving, you will reach Wadi Rum Village. From there, follow the signs towards Jebel Khazali. The last part of the journey will be on an unnamed road. GPS coordinates for Jebel Khazali are 29.5177637, 35.4177696. There may be small parking areas near the base, but be cautious of rough terrain. Ensure your vehicle is capable of handling unpaved roads.
Public Transportation
To reach Jebel Khazali via public transportation, take a bus from Wadi Ghuweir to Wadi Rum Village. The bus ride typically takes about 1 hour and costs around 5 Jordanian Dinars. Once you arrive at Wadi Rum Village, you can hire a local taxi or a 4x4 vehicle to take you to Jebel Khazali. The taxi fare should be negotiated before the ride, but expect to pay around 10-15 Jordanian Dinars for the trip. Inform the driver of your destination and ensure they understand the location.
Walking/Trekking
If you are feeling adventurous and in good physical condition, you can choose to trek from Wadi Rum Village to Jebel Khazali. The trek will take roughly 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Be sure to carry enough water, wear appropriate footwear, and have a map or a GPS device on hand. Follow the path that leads southeast from the village and keep an eye out for local trail markers. The terrain can be rocky, so caution is advised.
