Getting There

Car
From Wadi Hasa, drive south on Route 15 (also known as Desert Highway) for approximately 50 kilometers. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Wadi Rum. After about 50 kilometers, take the exit towards Wadi Rum. Continue for around 10 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Wadi Rum Protected Area. There is an entrance fee of approximately 5 JOD (Jordanian Dinar) per person, and parking is available at the site.

Start at your location in Wadi Hasa and find a bus heading to Aqaba. Buses are usually available from early morning until late afternoon, and the fare is around 2 JOD. Once you arrive in Aqaba, change buses to a service that goes to Wadi Rum. This leg of the journey will cost an additional 3 JOD. The bus will drop you off at the Wadi Rum Visitor Center, where you will need to pay the entrance fee of approximately 5 JOD to access the area. Transportation from the Visitor Center to the main attractions is usually by 4x4 vehicle, which can be arranged on-site.
