If you prefer public transportation, start by taking a local bus from Wadi Hidan to Aqaba or Petra. Buses run frequently and you can catch one at the local bus station. The fare is approximately 2 Jordanian Dinars. Once you reach the bus station in Aqaba or Petra, look for a bus or shared taxi heading to Wadi Rum. The fare for this leg of the journey is around 3 Jordanian Dinars. Upon arrival in Wadi Rum Village, you will need to arrange for a local Bedouin guide to take you into the protected area.
