From Wadi Rum Village, start your journey by heading southeast. Follow the main path that leads out of the village towards the desert. After approximately 1 kilometer, you'll reach a fork in the path. Take the left path which is more frequently used by tourists. Continue for about 2 kilometers until you reach a small rock formation known as 'Um Sabatah'. This is a good landmark to take a break and enjoy the view.

From Um Sabatah, continue on the well-trodden path heading east. You will be traversing through some beautiful landscapes, so keep your camera ready! After about 1.5 kilometers, you will see a distinctive large rock formation to your left; this is called 'Jebel Khazali'. You can take a short detour to explore Khazali Canyon, which is rich in petroglyphs and ancient inscriptions.
