Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from downtown Lawrence, head south on Massachusetts Street. Walk for about 1 mile until you reach 19th Street. Turn left (east) onto 19th Street and continue walking for another 0.5 miles. You will come to Harper Street. Turn right (south) onto Harper Street and walk for about 0.2 miles. The Prairie Park Nature Center will be on your left at 2730 Harper St.

  • Biking

    From the south end of downtown Lawrence, take the bike path heading south along the Burroughs Creek Trail. Follow the trail for approximately 1.5 miles until you reach 27th Street. Turn left (east) onto 27th Street, then take a quick right onto Harper Street. Continue on Harper Street for about 0.3 miles, and you will find the Prairie Park Nature Center on your right at 2730 Harper St.

  • Public Transit

    Catch the bus route that goes to the 27th Street and Harper Street intersection. You can board at various stops in downtown Lawrence, such as at the Lawrence Public Library. Once on the bus, disembark at the stop closest to 27th and Harper. From there, walk south on Harper Street for about 0.1 miles, and Prairie Park Nature Center will be on your left at 2730 Harper St.
