Turn left (north) onto Massachusetts and continue until you reach 15th Street. Turn right (east) on 15th Street and keep pedaling until you hit Naismith Drive. Follow Naismith Drive until you reach the intersection with 23rd Street. Turn left on 23rd Street and continue for about 2 miles. Turn right onto N 1190 Rd, where the Wakarusa River Valley Heritage Museum will be located on your left at 716 N 1190 Rd.
Public Transit
From downtown Lawrence, walk to the nearest bus stop and take the public bus route that heads toward the Wakarusa area. Check the latest bus schedule for the Haskell Indian Nations University route, which may have a stop near your destination. Once you arrive at the appropriate stop, walk north on N 1190 Rd. The Wakarusa River Valley Heritage Museum will be located at 716 N 1190 Rd on your right.
Walking
If you prefer walking, head out from downtown Lawrence toward the east. Walk along 9th Street until you reach Massachusetts Street. From there, turn left (north) and continue until Massachusetts intersects with 15th Street. Take a right on 15th Street and continue straight until you reach Naismith Drive, where you will turn left. Stay on Naismith Drive as it curves, then take another left onto 23rd Street. Continue on 23rd Street for about 2 miles until you reach N 1190 Rd. Turn right onto N 1190 Rd, and the Wakarusa River Valley Heritage Museum will be on your left at 716 N 1190 Rd.
