Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Manhattan, Kansas, head south on 4th Street towards Laramie Street. Turn right onto Laramie Street and continue until you reach 17th Street. Turn left on 17th Street and follow it until you reach the intersection with Anderson Avenue. Cross Anderson Avenue and continue straight onto the sidewalk. Follow the signs to the Konza Prairie Nature Trail entrance, which will be on the left side about 2 miles from this point. You will find the entrance at the parking area for the trails.

    Start at City Park in Manhattan. Head south on Poyntz Avenue towards 4th Street. Turn right onto 4th Street and ride until you reach Laramie Street. Turn left on Laramie Street and continue riding until you reach 17th Street. Turn left onto 17th Street and continue until you reach Anderson Avenue. Cross Anderson Avenue and continue straight on the bike lane. You will see signs directing you to the Konza Prairie Nature Trail entrance on your left. It's approximately 2 miles from the park.

    Take the Riley County Public Transportation bus from the nearest stop, which is located at the Manhattan Town Center. Board the bus that is heading towards the Konza Prairie area. Inform the driver that you are going to the Konza Prairie Nature Trail. The bus will drop you off at a stop near the entrance. Once you get off, walk along the path towards the entrance of Konza Prairie Nature Trail.
