Walking
If you're starting from the Manhattan Town Center (located at 100 Manhattan Town Center, Manhattan, KS), exit the mall and head west on Poyntz Ave toward 3rd St. Continue walking straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Claflin Rd. Turn right onto Claflin Rd and walk for approximately 1 mile. The Goodnow House State Historic Site will be on your right at Pioneer Park, located at 2301 Claflin Rd.

From the Manhattan Public Library (located at 629 Poyntz Ave), take the Riley County Public Transit (RCPT) bus service. Board the Route 1 bus heading toward Westloop. After about 15 minutes, get off at the Claflin Rd & Scenic Dr stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk. Head north on Scenic Dr toward Claflin Rd, then turn left onto Claflin Rd. The Goodnow House State Historic Site will be on your left at Pioneer Park, 2301 Claflin Rd.
