If you're driving from the center of Smoky Hills, head east on Highway 24. Continue for about 20 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 181. Turn left onto Highway 181 and drive north for approximately 12 miles. You will then see signs for Glen Elder State Park. As you approach, turn left onto 180 Rd. The park entrance will be on your right at 2131 180 Rd, Glen Elder, KS 67446.
Public Transportation
Unfortunately, public transportation options are limited in the Smoky Hills area. There are no direct bus routes to Glen Elder State Park. However, you can take a Greyhound bus to a nearby town like Beloit, KS. From there, you may need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service, such as Uber or Lyft, to take you the approximately 25 miles to Glen Elder State Park. Be sure to check for availability and costs in advance, as rideshare options may vary.
