Car
If you're starting from the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk, take the A2 highway towards Semey. After approximately 100 kilometers, turn onto the A24 road towards the Azat area. Continue on this road for about 50 kilometers. Once you reach the vicinity of Azat, use GPS coordinates (43.3442984, 77.2686518) to navigate directly to Azatskiye Gory. Be aware that the last few kilometers might be on unpaved roads, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.

Public Transportation
From Ust-Kamenogorsk, you can take a bus to Semey. Buses run every hour from the main bus station. Upon arriving in Semey, transfer to a local minibus heading towards Azat. The minibus will drop you off near the outskirts of Azat, from where you will need to walk approximately 5 kilometers to reach Azatskiye Gory. Keep in mind that the minibus may not run frequently, so check the schedule in advance.

Taxi or Ride-Sharing
For a more direct route without a vehicle, consider hiring a taxi from Ust-Kamenogorsk or Semey. The ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; expect to pay around 6,000 to 10,000 KZT (Kazakhstani Tenge) for the trip. In Azat, local taxis can also be hired to reach Azatskiye Gory.

If you are already in the Azat area and prefer a more adventurous route, you can trek to Azatskiye Gory. Starting from the village of Azat, follow local trails or ask locals for direction. The hike is approximately 5 kilometers and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Ensure you are well-prepared with adequate footwear, water, and supplies, as this trek can be challenging.
