Car
If you are driving to Baiterek from anywhere in the Altai Mountains, start by heading towards the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk (also known as Öskemen). From Ust-Kamenogorsk, take the A23 highway northwest. Continue on the A23 until you reach the intersection with the A1 highway. Take the A1 highway towards Astana (now Nur-Sultan). After approximately 800 km of driving, follow the signs leading to the city center of Astana. Baiterek is located at the address 4CHJ+86C, Astana 01000, in the Esil District. Look for the large monument; it’s hard to miss.
