If you are driving, start from the main entrance of Altyn Emel National Park. Follow the main park road heading southeast. After approximately 25 km, you will reach a junction. Take the left fork towards Shygan post and lodge. Continue on this road for about 15 km, and you will arrive at the lodge located at coordinates 44.115767, 78.702754. There is no entrance fee required for the lodge, but ensure your vehicle is in good condition as the roads can be rough.

Public Transportation
To reach Shygan post and lodge by public transportation, first, take a bus from Almaty to the nearest town, which is called Kegen. From Kegen, look for a local taxi or rideshare service that can take you into Altyn Emel National Park. This taxi ride should cost approximately 5000-7000 KZT. Once you reach the park entrance, you will need to arrange for another taxi or a local guide to take you to Shygan post and lodge. Ensure you confirm the price before starting the ride, as the cost can vary.
