From Big Almaty Lake, head southeast on the main road towards Almaty. Follow the signs to Almaty city. Once you reach the city limits, continue straight until you reach the intersection with A-2 road. Take a right onto A-2 and continue for about 15 km. Keep an eye out for the Hippodrome on your left. There is parking available nearby.

To use public transportation, first, take a bus from Big Almaty Lake to Almaty city center. Buses frequently leave from the main bus stop and the fare is approximately 300 KZT (Kazakhstani Tenge). Once in the city center, transfer to bus number 12 or 12A, which heads towards the Hippodrome. Make sure to ask the driver to let you know when you reach Hippodrome, as it is a popular stop.
