Once you arrive at the parking area, you will need to hike approximately 2 km to reach the waterfall.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, take a bus from Almaty to the nearest town to Bear Waterfall, which is typically a bus to the town of Kaskelen. Buses leave from the Sayran bus station in Almaty and the fare is usually around 300 KZT. Once in Kaskelen, you will need to arrange for a taxi or a ride-sharing service to get to the Bear Waterfall trailhead. This part of the journey may cost approximately 1500-2000 KZT for the taxi ride, depending on negotiation and traffic.
