From Almaty, head east on the A2 highway towards Taldykorgan. Continue on A2 for about 130 kilometers until you reach the town of Kaskelen. From Kaskelen, take the road towards the village of Basshi, which is approximately 90 kilometers along the B1 road. As you approach Basshi, look for road signs directing you to Altyn Emel National Park. The park entrance is about 20 kilometers from Basshi. Please note, you may need to pay an entrance fee at the park gate, typically around 3000 KZT per person.

From Almaty, take a bus or marshrutka (minibus) to the town of Kaskelen. Buses leave from the Sayran bus station. After arriving in Kaskelen, you can find local transport to Basshi, which may include shared taxis. The fare for the bus to Kaskelen is around 600 KZT, and the taxi fare to Basshi is about 2000 KZT. Once you reach Basshi, you can either hire a local taxi to take you directly to the park entrance (approximately 3000 KZT) or look for any available tour services that operate trips to Altyn Emel National Park.
