If you are driving from any point in Turgen Gorge, head towards the main road (A-2) that leads to Almaty. Once you reach the intersection with the A-2, take the highway towards Astana. Continue for approximately 70 kilometers until you see the exit for Qorghalzhyn Highway (also marked as M-36). Take this exit, and follow Qorghalzhyn Highway for about 15 kilometers. The Atameken Ethno-Memorial Map of Kazakhstan will be located on your left at Qorghalzhyn Hwy 2/1, Astana. Make sure to look for the sign indicating the museum.
