Getting There

    From Almaty, take the Almaty-Kapshagay highway (A2) towards the Turgen Gorge. After about 40 km, take the exit towards Turgen Gorge. Follow the road until you reach the entrance to the gorge. Continue driving until you find a parking area close to the trailhead leading to Butakovskiy waterfall. The parking area is well-marked, and usually, there is no fee. Once parked, head on foot along the marked trail for approximately 3 km to reach the waterfall.
