Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, ensure you have a GPS or a map application. From any major city in Western Kazakhstan, like Uralsk or Aktobe, you will need to get on the M-51 highway heading towards Astana (now known as Nur-Sultan). The journey can take approximately 12-15 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Once you arrive in Astana, navigate to the city center. Baiterek is located at 4CHJ+86C, Esil District. Look for the large, golden tower that is easily visible from various parts of the city.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To reach Baiterek using public transportation, you can take a long-distance bus from cities like Uralsk or Aktobe to Astana. Buses typically depart from the central bus stations. The journey can take around 15-20 hours. Once in Astana, you can take local buses or a taxi to Baiterek. Local buses will have stops near the city center; look for routes that indicate stops at major attractions or landmarks. The fare for local transport is usually around 150 KZT.

• Train

  Alternatively, you can take a train from major cities in Western Kazakhstan to Astana. Check the train schedules in advance, as trains may not run daily. The train journey can take approximately 16-22 hours. Once you arrive at the Astana railway station, you can take a taxi or local bus to reach Baiterek. The taxi ride will take around 15-20 minutes, costing approximately 1000-2000 KZT depending on traffic.
