Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the center of Zhezkazgan, start by heading towards the main bus station, which is located on Aiteke Bi Street. From there, walk towards the Aiteke Bi Street and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Abai Street. Turn left onto Abai Street and walk for about 1 kilometer. You will see signs directing you to the local bus stop where you can catch a bus to Astana.

  • Bus

    At the bus station, look for a bus heading to Astana. Ensure that the bus is going to the central bus station in Astana. The journey may take around 6-7 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Astana, ask locals or refer to the signs to find your way to the nearest metro station.

  • Metro

    After arriving in Astana, take the metro from the nearest station to the bus station. You need to board the metro towards the 'Abylai Khan' station. Once you reach 'Abylai Khan', transfer to the 'Saryarka' line and get off at the 'Baiterek' station. This station is located close to the Baiterek monument.

  • Walking

    Upon exiting the Baiterek metro station, follow the signs leading to the Baiterek monument. It is a short walk of about 500 meters straight ahead. You will see the iconic structure rising above the cityscape as you approach.
