From any location in the Cumberland Plateau, begin by heading towards the nearest major roadway. If you're in the vicinity of I-75, take exit 41 for KY-80 E toward London. Continue on KY-80 E for approximately 30 miles until you reach KY-11. Turn left onto KY-11 N and follow the signs for Red River Gorge. After about 10 miles, you will see signs directing you to the entrance of Red River Gorge, located off KY-40387. Be mindful that parking fees may apply at certain trailheads.
Public Transportation

While public transportation options directly to Red River Gorge are limited, you can take a Greyhound bus to Winchester, Kentucky. From Winchester, you will need to arrange for a local taxi or rideshare service to cover the remaining 30 miles to Red River Gorge. Expect taxi fares to be approximately $60-$80 one way.
