Getting There

  • Public Transit - Bus

    If you're starting from downtown Louisville, head to the nearest TARC (Transit Authority of River City) bus stop. Take bus route 23 (the 23-Hurstbourne) towards the Hurstbourne Parkway. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop at Trevilian Way and Hurstbourne Parkway. From there, walk approximately 0.5 miles northwest along Trevilian Way, and you will reach the Louisville Zoo at 1100 Trevilian Way.

  • Public Transit - TARC

    From the Kentucky International Convention Center, walk to the nearest TARC stop on 4th Street. Board the TARC route 18 (the 18-Preston) bus. After about 20 minutes, transfer to route 23 at the Jefferson Mall transfer station. Continue on route 23 for about 15 minutes until you reach Trevilian Way. Walk 0.5 miles northwest on Trevilian Way to reach the zoo.

    If you're in the vicinity of the Fairgrounds, you can take a scenic walk or bike ride to the zoo. Head east on Central Avenue, then turn onto Trevilian Way.
