Start at the Louisville Downtown area. Head to the nearest bus stop for the TARC (Transit Authority of River City) buses. You can take Bus Line 23 (Bardstown Road) towards the 'Bardstown Road at Highland Avenue' stop. Once you arrive at this stop, transfer to Bus Line 15 (The Highlands) towards 'Cherokee Park'. After a short ride, get off at the 'Cherokee Park' stop. From there, walk along the park entrance and follow the signs towards Big Rock, which is approximately a 10-minute walk into the park.

If you are near the city center, rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services like LouVelo. Head north on 4th Street, then turn right onto Broadway. Continue until you reach Cherokee Park. Enter the park and follow the designated bike paths towards Big Rock. The ride should take approximately 25-30 minutes, depending on your pace.

If you are in the vicinity of Cherokee Park, simply walk towards the park's entrance at 2199 Park Boundary Rd. Once inside the park, follow the main path leading towards the center of the park. You will see directional signs pointing towards Big Rock. It should take you about 20-30 minutes to reach Big Rock on foot, as you enjoy the scenic views of the park.
