Car
If you are driving, start from the Mammoth Cave Visitor Center. Head west on Mammoth Cave Parkway (KY-70) for about 3 miles. Turn right onto Park Entrance Road and continue for approximately 1 mile. Follow the signs to the Sunset Point parking area, which will be on your right. The parking lot is free, and from there, it's a short walk to the viewpoint.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, check if local shuttle services are available that connect to Mammoth Cave National Park. Once you arrive at the park, use the park shuttle to get to the Visitor Center. From the Visitor Center, follow the walking trail signs to Sunset Point, which is about a 0.5-mile walk along a well-marked gravel path.
Walking
If you're already within Mammoth Cave National Park and prefer to walk, start at the Visitor Center. Head southwest on the designated Heritage Trail, which leads directly to Sunset Point. The trail is approximately 0.5 miles and is suitable for all fitness levels. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!
