Walking
If you are in downtown Owensboro, start at the Owensboro Convention Center on 2nd Street. Head west on 2nd Street until you reach the intersection with Frederica Street. Turn left onto Frederica Street and continue south until you reach the intersection with KY-2831 (also known as West Parrish Avenue). From there, turn right onto KY-2831 and walk for about 1.5 miles. Sassafras Tree will be on your left at the address 2100-2166 KY-2831. Look for the notable historical plaque in front of the building.

Public Transit - Bus
Begin at the Owensboro Transit Center located at 3rd Street and Allen Street. Board the Bus Route 1 (Blue Line), which travels along Frederica Street. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes and get off at the stop near the intersection of Frederica Street and KY-2831. After disembarking, walk south on Frederica Street until it merges with KY-2831. Turn left onto KY-2831 and walk approximately 0.5 miles. Sassafras Tree will be located on your left at 2100-2166 KY-2831.

If you prefer to bike, start at the Greenbelt Park Trail near the riverfront. Head south towards 9th Street, then take a left onto 9th Street heading east. Continue until you reach Frederica Street, then turn right and head south. Follow Frederica Street until you reach KY-2831. Turn right onto KY-2831 and bike for about 1.5 miles. Sassafras Tree will be on your left at 2100-2166 KY-2831.
