If you are starting from a location along the Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail, make your way to US-27 South. Continue on US-27 South for approximately 15 miles until you reach the town of Burnside, KY. From Burnside, turn onto KY-90 East and follow it for about 4 miles. You will see signs for Beaver Creek Wilderness. There are no entrance fees for accessing the wilderness area.

Take a Greyhound or Megabus to Somerset, KY, which is the nearest city with bus service. Once in Somerset, you will need to arrange for a local taxi or rideshare service to take you to Burnside, KY. The distance from Somerset to Burnside is about 15 miles, and the taxi fare may range from $30 to $50, depending on the service. After reaching Burnside, follow the directions for cars to get to Beaver Creek Wilderness.
Bicycle
For those who enjoy cycling, you can bike from Burnside to Beaver Creek Wilderness. Use KY-90 East, which has a bike-friendly shoulder. The ride is approximately 4 miles and offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Ensure you wear a helmet and have appropriate gear for safety.
