If you're traveling by car, start by navigating to the Daniel Boone National Forest area. From the nearest major town, London, KY, take US-25 N for about 10 miles. Follow signs for KY-80 W, then merge onto KY-80 W. After approximately 12 miles, look for the entrance to the Dog Slaughter Falls trailhead on your right, just past the intersection with KY-11. There is a small parking area available for visitors. Note that there may be a small fee for parking or entering certain areas of the National Forest, so be prepared with cash.

If you are using public transportation, first take a bus to London, KY. From London, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to the Dog Slaughter Falls trailhead, as public transport does not reach the site directly. Once at the trailhead, follow the marked trail approximately 1.5 miles into the forest to reach Dog Slaughter Falls. The path may be uneven, so good hiking shoes are recommended. There are no fees for hiking the trail, but ensure you have enough water and supplies for the hike.
