Bicycle
If you are in central Kisumu, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops. Start by heading west on Moi Avenue towards the Kisumu Museum. After passing the museum, continue straight until you reach Harambee Road. Turn left onto Harambee Road and keep pedaling straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will see signs for Impala Park along the road. The Ostrich Pen is located within the park, so look for the entrance signage.
Walking
From the central Kisumu bus station, exit onto Oginga Odinga Street and walk towards Moi Avenue. Take a left on Moi Avenue and proceed towards the Kisumu Museum. Once you reach the museum, continue on until you find Harambee Road. Turn left at Harambee Road, and walk straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You’ll see signs for Impala Park. The Ostrich Pen is within the park, so just follow the signs.
Matatu (Public Minibus)
Head to the main matatu stage in Kisumu, where you can catch a matatu heading towards the Kisumu Museum route. Ask the conductor to drop you off at the Kisumu Museum stop. From there, exit the matatu and walk towards Harambee Road, which is just a short distance away. Once on Harambee Road, walk straight for about 1.5 kilometers, and look for the signs to Impala Park. The Ostrich Pen can be found within the park premises.
