Getting there

Bicycle

Start your journey from the Kisumu City Center. Rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops. Head west on Oginga Odinga Street towards the Kisumu Museum. After approximately 1.5 km, turn left onto the road leading to the Kisumu International Airport. Continue straight for about 3 km until you reach the junction with the Kisumu-Kakamega highway. Turn right and follow the highway for about 2 km. Look for the sign for Nyamware, which is located on your left. Follow the signs, and you will arrive at Nyamware.

Public Transport (Matatu)

From the Kisumu City Center, walk to the main bus station located near the post office. Look for a matatu heading towards Kakamega or Kisumu West. Board the matatu and inform the conductor you are going to Nyamware. The journey will take around 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the Nyamware stop, which is well-marked. From there, it is a short walk to your destination.

Walking

If you are near the Kisumu Museum, you can walk to Nyamware. Start from the museum and head west on Oginga Odinga Street. After about 1 km, turn left onto the road leading towards the Kisumu-Kakamega highway. Continue walking straight for about 3 km, and then look for a sign for Nyamware on your right. The area is accessible on foot, and you will enjoy the local scenery along the way.
