Bicycle
From the Kisumu city center, head east towards Kisumu International Airport. You can rent a bicycle from various rental shops in the city. Once you reach the main road, continue cycling towards the Kisumu - Kakamega Road. After approximately 5 kilometers, you will reach the junction for East Kisumu. Turn left and follow the signs for Riatt Hills. The hills are about 2 kilometers from the junction, and you will find a path leading up to the hills.
Walking
Start at Kisumu's central market. Walk east towards the Kisumu International Airport Road. Continue walking along this road for about 6 kilometers. When you reach the East Kisumu intersection, turn left. Walk for an additional 2 kilometers, and you will see signs pointing to Riatt Hills. The path to the hills will be on your right.
Motorcycle Taxi (Boda Boda)
You can hail a boda boda from any location in Kisumu. Tell the driver you want to go to Riatt Hills. They are familiar with the location. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will take you to the East Kisumu area, and they can drop you off at the base of the hills.
Public Transport (Matatu)
From Kisumu city center, board a matatu heading towards Kakamega. Ask the conductor to drop you off at the East Kisumu junction. From there, it's about a 2-kilometer walk to Riatt Hills. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the hills.
