From any location in Pokot Region, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) to Kitale town. Matatus frequently depart from major towns, so you should not wait long for one. The fare is typically around 200-300 KES depending on the distance. Once you arrive in Kitale, you can either take another matatu or a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to Mount Elgon National Park. Inform the driver to take you to the entrance of the park, which is about 15 kilometers away from Kitale. Expect to pay around 100-200 KES for the boda-boda ride.
