From Kitale town center, head east on Kitale-Machakos Rd. Continue for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Mount Elgon Rd. Turn left onto Mount Elgon Rd and follow the road for another 15 kilometers. You will see signs leading to Mount Elgon National Park. Ensure to ride safely and be cautious of traffic.

Motorbike Taxi (Boda Boda)
Hire a Boda Boda from any location in Kitale. Inform the rider that you want to go to Mount Elgon National Park. The rider will take you to Mount Elgon Rd, where you will travel approximately 20 kilometers. The park entrance will be clearly marked. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.

Public Bus
From the Kitale bus station, board a matatu heading towards Bungoma or Webuye. Inform the conductor that you want to alight at the junction for Mount Elgon National Park. The journey should take about 30 minutes. After alighting, you may need to walk or take a Boda Boda for the remaining distance to the park entrance, which is about 5 kilometers away.
