Getting There

  • Car

    From the main entrance of Lake Bogoria National Reserve, head southwest on the main road towards Marigat. Continue on this road for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach a T-junction. At the junction, turn left onto the B4 highway towards Nakuru. After about 10 kilometers, you will see a sign for Lake Baringo. Turn right onto the road leading to Lake Baringo and follow it for another 5 kilometers until you arrive at the lake.

  • Public Transportation

    From Lake Bogoria, head to the nearest matatu (shared taxi) station located at the entrance of the national reserve. Board a matatu heading to Marigat. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Upon arrival in Marigat, transfer to another matatu that is headed towards Nakuru. Inform the driver to drop you off at the sign for Lake Baringo. Once you get off, it is a short 5-kilometer walk to the lake.
