Car
From Lake Naivasha, head northwest on Moi South Lake Road towards Nakuru. Continue on this road for approximately 26 kilometers until you reach the junction near the town of Naivasha. Turn right onto the Nakuru Road (A104) and continue for about 15 kilometers. You will then see signs for Crater Lake Camp. Turn left onto the road leading to the camp. The camp is located at coordinates 67C7+454, Nakuru. Follow the road for about 3 kilometers until you arrive at the camp entrance.
Public Transportation
From Lake Naivasha, you can catch a matatu (shared minibus) heading towards Nakuru from the main bus station. The fare is typically around 100-200 KES (Kenyan Shillings) per person. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at the junction for Crater Lake. Once you arrive at the junction, you may need to hire a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) for about 200-300 KES to take you directly to Crater Lake Camp, which is about 3 kilometers away from the main road.
Taxi
If you prefer a more comfortable option, you can hire a taxi from Lake Naivasha directly to Crater Lake Camp. The taxi fare may range from 2000 to 3000 KES, depending on negotiation and time of day. The driver will take you directly to the camp, which is located at coordinates 67C7+454, Nakuru. This option is ideal for groups or families who want door-to-door service.
