From the main area near Lake Turkana, head east towards Lodwar town on the A1 road. This route is approximately 80 kilometers and should take about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on road conditions. Once you reach Lodwar, continue on the main road through the town until you see signs pointing towards Lodwar Cone. Follow the local roads leading to the hiking area, which is just outside of Lodwar.

To reach Lodwar Cone via public transport, first take a matatu (shared taxi) from your location around Lake Turkana to Lodwar town. Matatus frequently depart from various points around the lake. After arriving in Lodwar, you can either walk to Lodwar Cone if it's nearby or hire a local taxi or motorcycle (boda boda) for a short ride. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand, which typically ranges from 200 to 500 KES depending on the distance.
