If you're driving from Lodwar, start on the A1 highway heading northwest. Follow the signs for Lake Turkana. After approximately 40 kilometers, turn right onto a dirt road leading towards Kanamkemer. Continue on this road for about 25 kilometers until you reach the coordinates 4H5W+F5 for Tir'kol haven. The road may be rough, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.

From Lodwar, take a matatu (shared taxi) heading towards Kanamkemer. The fare is typically around 200 KES. Inform the driver that you want to get off near Tir'kol haven or at the nearest point to the coordinates 4H5W+F5. Once you reach Kanamkemer, you may need to hire a local boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) for about 100 KES to take you directly to Tir'kol haven.
