Car
If you are driving, start from Kisumu city. Take the A1 road heading towards Kakamega. After about 45 km, take the turnoff to Mukumu. Follow the signs to Mukumu town. Once in Mukumu, navigate to the coordinates 0.2399903, 34.7551558 using a GPS or maps application. There are no entry fees to access The Crying Stone.
Public Transportation (Matatu)
From Kisumu, take a matatu (shared taxi) heading to Kakamega. Inform the driver you want to stop at Mukumu. The ride takes approximately 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Mukumu, you can either walk or hire a local motorbike taxi (boda boda) to take you to The Crying Stone, located at the coordinates 0.2399903, 34.7551558. The fare for the boda boda should be around 100-200 KES.
Walking
If you are already in Mukumu, The Crying Stone is accessible by foot. From the center of Mukumu, head east towards the location at 0.2399903, 34.7551558. It's approximately a 30-minute walk, and you can ask locals for directions if needed.
