Walking from Shela Village
If you are already in Shela Village, walking to Shela Beach is a pleasant option. From the village center, head towards the coastline. The beach is roughly a 10-minute walk. If you're in Lamu Town and want to enjoy a scenic route, you can take a public boat to Shela. Boats leave from the Lamu Old Port and take about 15 minutes. The fare is usually around 100-200 Kenyan Shillings. Once you arrive at the Shela jetty, it’s a short walk to the beach.
