    From the main Lamu town, head towards the waterfront. Follow the path along the shore, keeping the sea on your right. You'll pass various shops and local vendors. Continue walking until you reach the end of the Lamu waterfront, where you will see a small boat dock. Here, you can hire a small boat (known locally as a 'dhow') to take you across to Shela Beach. The boat ride takes about 10-15 minutes.
