Start at the main jetty in Lamu town. Look for local boat operators offering rides to Shela. The boat ride will take about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Shela beach landing area, disembark and head towards the dunes, which are located a short walk from the beach. Follow the beach path north until you see the dunes rising in the distance.
