For a budget-friendly option, you can take a public bus from Nairobi to Narok. Buses leave regularly from Nairobi's central bus station. The fare is around 1,200 KES (Kenyan Shillings) and the journey takes about 3 to 4 hours. Once in Narok, you will need to take a matatu (shared taxi) or hire a private taxi to reach the Maasai Mara gate, which is about 90 kilometers from Narok. Expect to pay around 1,500 KES to 3,000 KES for a private taxi.
