Walking
From the Malindi town center, head east towards the Malindi Marine National Park. Walk along the main road, which is known as Lamu Road. Continue walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Gede Watamu Road. At the junction, turn left onto Gede Watamu Road. Keep walking straight for another 3 kilometers. You will see the entrance to Gede Ruins on your right. The ruins are well-signposted, and there are usually local vendors nearby.

Bicycle
If you rent a bicycle in Malindi, start from the town center and cycle east on Lamu Road. After about 1.5 kilometers, turn left at the junction onto Gede Watamu Road. Continue cycling for approximately 3 kilometers. The Gede Ruins will be on your right. The ride is fairly flat and should take around 20 to 30 minutes, depending on your cycling speed.

Tuk Tuk
You can easily find a tuk-tuk in Malindi town center. Inform the driver that you want to go to Gede Ruins. The driver will take Lamu Road and then turn left onto Gede Watamu Road. The ride typically takes about 15 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.
