Continue on this road for about 5 km until you reach a sign for Mambrui. Turn left onto a dirt road that leads directly to the Mambrui sand dunes, which are located about 1 km down this road.

  • Motorbike Taxi (Boda Boda)

    You can hire a motorbike taxi (Boda Boda) from any point in Malindi. Tell the rider to take you to Mambrui sand dunes. The most common route is along the Mombasa-Malindi Road (A14) until the Mambrui turn-off. The ride should take around 15 minutes, depending on traffic.

  • Walking

    If you are up for a walk, start from Malindi town center and head northeast towards the coast. Walk along the beach, heading toward Mambrui. This route takes you through scenic coastal views and local villages. It is approximately a 6 km walk and may take about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace.
