Getting There

From the main entrance of Mount Elgon National Park, drive along the main road towards the Chorlim Gate. Continue on this road until you reach the Kapkway Exploration Centre. From there, follow the signs towards the Mount Elgon peak. The road may be rough and unpaved in some sections, so drive carefully and be prepared for some bumpy ride.

Public Transportation
Take a matatu (shared minibus) from the nearest town to Mount Elgon National Park to the Kapkway Exploration Centre. From there, you can hire a motorbike taxi to take you closer to the Mount Elgon peak. Be prepared for a bit of a walk from where the motorbike drops you off to reach the final destination.
